Tutorials and Tips Empty World Edit (Staff Only)

Post by GandalfTheWhite Mon Apr 08, 2013 8:43 pm

Hello, If you are reading this, You are a Staff Member with World Edit Priveliges, and have no idea how to use World Edit, or could gain some knowledge. World Edit Wiki. The first thing you need to know, is a list of commands, and some general rules for the server. is a link to the Commands in world edit, and clicking on certain commands tells you more what it does. There are many tutorials on youtube for Worldedit also. I have Links below. World Edit is a plugin that allows you to easily edit, produce, recompose, and delete items and blocks, and builds in minecraft. If you have 1 Pillar, and you need 20, you can copy and paste the Pillar in all of your 20 locations you need, all with a few keystrokes. One thing to remember about World Edit, is that it is easy, but also very powerful, with a small error in your command, or you don't have commom sense, you can lag the server, and even cause server Crashes. DO NOT MAKE LARGE THINGS, OR MAKE LARGE SELECTIONS IN MINECRAFT, BE SURE TO DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR NUMBERS AND SELECTIONS!!! Another thing to know is that it is easy to lose track of selections, please, please, please make sure you make a selection with your wand ( Pos1, Pos2) and it isnt pos1,pos1, or pos2, pos2, as it will crash the server. Please take your time to look at a small list of commands below, and to watch the Video tutorials with the links posted below.

----------
Please keep whatever you do, reasonably sized, Large objects, or selections, etc create a ton of lag for you and others, and sometimes you can even crash the server!
Don't make Spheres or cylinders, etc with water or lava, as it lags the server.
----------
